# IHK Roundtable – MAtchUP

On September 26, 2019, we at EA System presented MAtchUP, [Dresden’s current smart city project](https://www.matchup-project.eu/cities/dresden/?trad=1), at the IHK energy roundtable. Together with consortium partners from Dresden’s economic development office and DREWAG, we then answered attendees’ questions and exchanged views in an informal setting.

Over the coming years, Dresden will develop into a leading smart city within the European Horizon 2020 project MAtchUP. During implementation through 2022, the city will establish the development concepts produced in the Johannstadt project district as a lighthouse city, alongside Valencia (Spain) and Antalya (Turkey). MAtchUP focuses particularly on energy efficiency and renewable energy, mobility, digitalization, and citizen participation.
