The ARCHE and FMI4BIM research projects are nearing completion. Together with the project partners, EA Systems Dresden GmbH will present the results to everyone interested in a joint workshop.

FMI4BIM and ARCHE received funding through BMWi’s Energiewendebauen initiative and have investigated various topics and questions in building and plant planning in recent years, developing new approaches to improve them.

FMI4BIM improved the integration of building and plant simulation into the digital planning process. BIM was chosen as the digital planning method, and the project investigated how building and plant information can be used to parameterize simulation models. Building and plant models were created as Functional Mock-up Units to provide simulation models independently of the tools used.

ARCHE developed methods and approaches for designing self-optimizing controls for distributed energy systems in buildings. Energy management is intended to ensure continuous supply security. The diverse generators and consumers using different energy carriers have different requirements and restrictions and must be coordinated optimally. Uniform, improved control design processes aim to reduce design costs and increase benefits.

The developed processes and results will be presented in technical talks, divided into two blocks held over two days. The program is listed below.

Participation and Registration

Time: September 26, 2022, 1 p.m. to September 27, 2022, 1 p.m.

Location: Fraunhofer IIS/EAS conference hall, Münchner Straße 16, 01187 Dresden

The workshop is organized as a hybrid event. Participants can attend online as an alternative to joining in person in Dresden.

Everyone interested is warmly invited. The workshop is free of charge. To register, send an informal email with the subject FMI4BIM+ARCHE-Workshop to andre.schneider@eas.iis.fraunhofer.de or directly to us at info@ea-energie.de, and we will forward the information.

We look forward to talking with you and discussing the results.
