Since 2015, EA Systems Dresden has aimed to market its smart solutions in China as well. This includes developing solutions and pilot projects together with Chinese engineers, cities, and companies. René Unger, Torsten Schwan, and Ralf Schiefendecker have visited several times for B2B discussions, conferences, and meetings with Chinese representatives. Most recently, Mr. Unger was invited to Beijing by the Dong Fang Yi Group in August 2019 to take part in B2B talks aimed at signing an LOI for the joint development of pilot projects in China.
Unfortunately, the initiative has been postponed because negotiations have had to stop due to the current coronavirus pandemic.
In 2018, EA Systems Dresden commissioned CECC Berlin to prepare a market entry strategy to support business development in Asia, using China as a case study. All subsequent activities were based on this strategy. Business development in China remains important and will continue. For now, however, the resources invested and the level of activity have been reduced, as practical implementation is difficult during the pandemic.
