At ENERGY SAXONY #ENERGIETalk on November 30, 2022, Markus Ehrlein presented “District Heating Network Simulation – Heat Supply 4.0” as a sustainable long-term approach to optimizing existing supply networks and planning new routes and district heating networks. Current and future challenges and the decisions they involve, such as decarbonizing supply networks and the energy transition itself, continually create new conditions for forward-looking energy supply. Against this background, the engineers at EA Systems Dresden GmbH developed the District Heating Grid simulation library. Their expertise and this powerful tool make it possible to simulate a wide range of energy transition scenarios, problems, and challenges and address them with model-based solutions for sustainable long-term operation – whether optimizing existing networks, planning new ones, or extending routes.
If you missed the event, you can still watch the presentation as a video!
