On November 3, 2016, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., the metaStream network’s 23rd expert discussion took place at Leipzig’s Paulinum. Under the theme “Grid Integration of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure,” three speakers discussed the current situation, challenges, and possible solutions for integrating charging infrastructure into existing energy systems. Representing EA Systems Dresden GmbH, Mr. Schieferdecker spoke about the interaction between electric vehicles, charging behavior, and the local grid. His presentation focused on improved charging infrastructure planning and the intelligent use of charging and load management systems. Grid-supportive storage solutions for electric mobility applications were also discussed and attracted considerable interest. All presentations and photos from the event are available here.
