DigiTwinPlan – The Digital Building Twin From Planning to Operation
DigiTwinPlan combines modern simulation and optimization techniques with practical planning processes. The digital twin accompanies buildings from design to energy-efficient operation. The project runs from October 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027 and brings together EA Systems, Vicus Software, IPROconsult, and Fraunhofer IIS Dresden.
The aim is to identify optimization potential early in design, reduce CO₂ emissions, and improve collaboration between architects and engineering planners. This creates a continuous foundation for sustainable buildings whose energy supply can be assessed and optimized from concept development to operation.
Project Partners
Contributions of the Project Partners
- EA Systems extends existing Modelica libraries, develops the required interfaces, and supports the overarching operation and visualization concept.
- Vicus Software contributes expertise in building and energy plant planning and integrates digital twins into established planning and simulation processes.
- IPROconsult defines practical requirements and progressively verifies the transferability of the developed modules in a planning environment.
- Fraunhofer IIS Dresden supports modeling and the development of control approaches for energy-efficient buildings.
