Hydraulic Analysis of Schneeberg's District Heating Network

Dynamic district heating network model, measurement data calibration, and hydraulic and thermal network analysis for Stadtwerke Schneeberg

Period:
10/2021 – 12/2021

Assessing the Hydraulics and Thermal Behavior of Schneeberg’s District Heating Network

A dynamic district heating network model was first created for Stadtwerke Schneeberg. The network has a radial layout with no loops and one generation site. It includes 118 building substations and a total pipeline route length of 9.3 km. The model was compared with supplied measurement data and calibrated. Following successful calibration, hydraulic and thermal parameters were investigated for the generator, consumers, and pipelines.
