Dresden-Johannstadt as an Energy-Efficient Urban District
Over the next five years, Dresden will become a smart city with support from EA Systems Dresden GmbH. Dresden-Johannstadt will be transformed into an energy-efficient urban district. Alongside implementing specific measures, the focus is on transferability and scalability to other districts and cities. EA Systems Dresden participates in seven work packages. Through the capabilities of Green City simulation, EA Systems Dresden plays a central, connecting role in the overall project.
EA Systems Dresden’s Services
- Modeling the project area (residential districts, schools, charging infrastructure, tenant electricity models)
- Creating a Green City simulation model of the entire district and its energy behavior
- Planning and optimized management strategies for district electricity storage
- Testing planned concept alternatives and control strategies
- Technical consulting for the planned central building control center
- Technical consulting on intelligent street lighting
- Monitoring and evaluation of implemented measures
- Energy monitoring dashboard for Dresden’s 102nd Primary School
